Meet The Team

Head Coach
Chenyu Lin
Chenyu taught his first student in robotics in the summer of 2017, and taught over 200 students in robotics, coding, and innovation classes. Chenyu co-founded the Vinci Robotics Academy in 2018 and led over 15 VEX robotics competition teams and won over 30 trophies including SNE Regional Champions, awards at CREATE US Open, awards at VEX World Championship.
By offering great content to benefit students as the ultimate goal, Chenyu and his coach team has developed over 150 hours of interactive, comprehensive, and fun teaching materials for robotics, coding, and innovation. So, students can enjoy and learn solid knowledge at Vinci Robotics Academy.
Chenyu graduated from Brown University, MS in Engineering.

Coach
Arvand Navabi
Arvand Navabi graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2022 with PhD in civil and environmental engineering. His research concerned material fracture toughness and metallurgy. As a NSF trainee, he was researching on human-robot interactions in the future of workplace where he discovered the potential of strategical and ethical use of robots to assist human’s physically extensive, mundane, time consuming and hazardous tasks. With a mission of taking part in the next era of manufacturing and space travel, Arvand sought to train the next generation of engineers who could look beyond our norms and provide innovative solutions to the problems of future.
With 12 years of hands-on lab experience, Arvand coaches robotics teams at Vinci Robotics Academy to use principles of mechanics and physics to design and construct robotic systems. His coaching and instructions are project based and aim to encourage passion to fun scientific and engineering problem solving.

Coach
Zixuan Zou
Zixuan graduated from UIUC in mathematics and he has been helping high school students in AP/IB and college students in engineering and mathematical physics as a instructor at Sinica Education. He’s also interested in web development and computer graphics, he was the IDE developer team member of the Snapbrillia. Zixuan joined Vinci Robotics Academy as he wants to find connections between abstract logical thinking and real world dynamic projects: especially in computer aided engineering design, finite elements analysis/simulation, closed loop control, and graphics /renderings. He also updates his blog from time to time to share his new thoughts.

Coach
David Houh
David taught his first student in robotics in the winter of 2020 and taught over 150 students in robotics, coding, and innovation classes. David is the first coach of Vinci Robotics and leads ed over 15 VEX robotics competition teams and won over 30 trophies including SNE Regional Champions, awards at CREATE US Open, awards at VEX World Championship.
By cultivating creative thinking to benefit students as the primary goal, David has created over 150 hours of interactive, comprehensive, and fun courses for robotics, coding, and innovation. So, students can have a good time to learn as well as a relax studying environment at Vinci Robotics Academy.
David graduated from Northeastern University, MS in Mechanical Engineering.

Coach
Engels Ady
Coach Engels is a dedicated and passionate educator, committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers and makers. With an engineering certificate and a Bachelors of science in Mathematics from UMass Amherst, he is well-equipped to provide a comprehensive and engaging robotics education.
At Pioneer Charter School of Science, he teaches a 4th grade robotics course and runs a robotics club, allowing students to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills. Not only does he share his expertise and experience with students, but he also brings the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies to the classroom through his hobby of 3D printing and building robots.
